Senior AWS DevOps (AWS Marketplace)
Canada, Europe, USA HOTWe are looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with proven experience publishing and managing applications on the AWS Marketplace. This role is critical for enabling secure, compliant, and production-grade deployments of our cloud-based solutions.
The ideal candidate will be based in Europe, USA or Canada (due to compliance restrictions).
Project Description
Our client, a US-based startup, is developing an advanced reasoning platform that leverages a sophisticated knowledge graph to transform raw structured and unstructured enterprise data into actionable insights for critical decision-making. The solution is built on a modern microservices architecture, incorporating vector databases, LLMs, and complex data pipelines, and will be distributed via the AWS Marketplace to enterprise customers worldwide.
Duties and responsibilities
You’ll help our client bring their product to the AWS Marketplace. You’ll own the DevOps side of publishing and running a complex microservices platform on the AWS Marketplace.
Your main focus will be on making the product deployable through the Marketplace in a secure, compliant, and customer-friendly way. That means setting up infrastructure with EKS, Helm, Terraform, and CloudFormation, packaging it so enterprises can launch it independently, and making sure the licensing, billing, and entitlement pieces are wired correctly.
You’ll also help us navigate the Marketplace process end-to-end: from preparing artifacts and templates to working through compliance requirements and supporting enterprise clients once they start deploying. The work involves close collaboration with the product team, occasional late-evening calls with US stakeholders, and solving practical challenges like hybrid licensing (some components require third-party licenses).
- Package and publish applications on the AWS Marketplace (SaaS, AMI, or container-based listings), ensuring compliance with AWS requirements.
- Design, automate, and maintain AWS infrastructure using EKS, Helm, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
- Build and manage GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux) for continuous deployment.
- Define and implement licensing, billing, and entitlement models via Marketplace APIs.
- Ensure proper security, compliance, and audit readiness, addressing location-specific client requirements.
- Deliver independent deployment artifacts (Helm charts, CloudFormation templates) enabling customers to deploy with minimal vendor dependency.
- Collaborate with product and business teams to align technical deployment strategy with go-to-market needs.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for customer deployments and Marketplace integrations.
- Communicate directly with international stakeholders, including participation in late-evening calls when required.
Required skills and experience
- 5+ years in DevOps or Cloud Engineering with AWS.
- Strong experience with Amazon EKS, Kubernetes ecosystem, Helm, and GitOps.
- Hands-on expertise with CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Direct experience publishing products on the AWS Marketplace.
- Familiarity with compliance and security requirements (multi-region, customer-specific constraints).
- Strong CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and automation background.
- Fluent in English, capable of handling technical discussions with clients independently.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of licensing integrations with third-party components (e.g., Neo4j, OpenAI).
- Experience with SaaS billing and hybrid licensing models.
- Experience in highly scalable microservices architectures with LLMs and vector databases.
What’s in it for you
- You will develop much faster than the fractional role at a big “galley.”
- If you can’t find the meaning in what you’re doing, don’t know where you’re going in the long run, feel like you do not evolve, or like nobody cares about you, or think you’re wasting your time — come and win the competition for this job!
- Team up with us to make the world a better and more convenient place to live! Start making a difference now!
