Rhapsody Integration Expert

We seek an experienced Middle+ or Senior Rhapsody Integration Expert to join our healthcare interoperability team. This role involves designing and developing scalable integrations, optimizing architecture, and supporting mission-critical healthcare data exchange. The ideal candidate has strong expertise with Rhapsody, HL7, and healthcare-specific integration technologies.

Duties and responsibilities

• Design and develop tools to optimize integration processes.
• Construct, test, and deploy new integrations using Rhapsody and other tools involving JavaScript, pipeline processing, and database platforms.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on integration patterns, data transformation, and healthcare interoperability.
• Provide clear documentation, interface specifications, and technical handoffs.
• Occasionally provide Level 3 support for integration-related issues and perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Required skills and experience

• Deep hands-on experience in healthcare integration, particularly with HL7 v2, XML, REST, and SOAP.
• Expert-level understanding of interface engine architecture and design, especially using Rhapsody (experience with Mirth is a plus).
• Proficient in JavaScript or similar scripting languages used within integration engines.
• Strong understanding of network and web protocols (TCP, VPN, HTTP, SFTP).
• Familiarity with database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Grasp of change control processes, source code management, and DevOps practices.
• Experience integrating with EHRs (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech) and third-party healthcare services is a plus.

Nice to have

• Rhapsody Integration Engine certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience working in regulated environments with a focus on HIPAA compliance.
