Forward Deployed AI Engineer (Dubai, on-site)

Europe, Ukraine HOT

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on, self-sufficient AI engineer to join a team embedded with a major aviation organization in Dubai.

The role is full-time and on-site in Dubai, UAE, for an initial one-year assignment with possible extension.

You will work directly with business stakeholders, understand the operational problem, and own the technical solution from discovery and architecture through implementation, deployment and production operation.

This is a dual-skill, engineering-led role rather than a prompt-engineering or voice-only position. The priority is a self-sufficient engineer who can implement and deploy agentic-AI solutions in Python while also configuring a low-code conversational AI platform and refining prompts, dialogue logic and user experience. The candidate does not need to be best-in-class in both disciplines, but must be able to deliver independently beyond prompting alone.

What you will do

  • Current platform delivery. Configure, roll out and continuously improve use cases on the current low-code conversational AI platform, including evaluations, drift monitoring, prompt and dialogue refinement, feedback loops and release quality.
  • Agentic AI delivery. Design, build, deploy and operate production-grade action agents and agentic workflows, including internal and operational use cases beyond customer-facing conversations.
  • Omnichannel rollout. Extend customer-service journeys from voice and email to web chat, WhatsApp and WeChat, including service queries and booking requests.
  • APIs and MCP. Connect AI agents to enterprise systems and build the missing last-mile integration layer, including APIs, tools, MCP servers or connectors, webhooks, queues and secure integration patterns.
  • Multi-agent systems. Design orchestrators and clearly scoped specialized agents with reliable handoffs, retries, fallbacks and human review where required.
  • Production quality. Own testing, observability, logging, security, performance, latency and cost while working closely with product, architecture and engineering teams.

What we are looking for

  • Practical Python engineering. Solid hands-on Python experience sufficient to build APIs, integration services and deployable production components, including testing, error handling, logging, Git and CI/CD.
  • Production GenAI. Approximately three or more years building production GenAI/LLM applications, with meaningful hands-on agentic-AI delivery; equivalent depth matters more than a rigid year count.
  • Agentic frameworks. Production experience with agentic-AI frameworks, tool calling, workflow orchestration, RAG, context management, evaluations, monitoring and guardrails.
  • Independent delivery. Ability to take a use case from requirements through implementation, deployment and production support, not only build prototypes or prompt demos.
  • Platform adaptability. Readiness to work across pro-code and low-code environments, configure agents and actions, and refine prompts and conversational logic when required.
  • Cloud and integrations. Hands-on experience with enterprise integrations, secure APIs, containers and production cloud operation.
  • Communication and mobility. Fluent English, confidence with business stakeholders, and readiness to relocate to the UAE for full-time onsite work in Dubai.
  • Education. A university degree is required; the required field of study and documentation standard will be confirmed before candidate submission.

Strong advantages

A data science background; full-stack delivery with TypeScript/JavaScript or React; experience across several conversational channels; cloud data platforms, data pipelines or MLOps; and aviation, airline or logistics background.

Platform onboarding

Prior experience with the client’s current low-code platform is not required. Platform-specific training and implementation-phase support are expected to be provided; candidates should bring the underlying engineering judgment, agentic-AI implementation skills and ability to learn the platform quickly.

Work model and relocation

The role is full-time and onsite in Dubai, UAE, for an initial one-year assignment with possible extension. The selected candidate will be employed through the designated UAE company. Planned support includes the UAE employment visa, employee medical insurance, an initial flight to Dubai, a return flight at the end of the assignment, an approved broker fee, apartment-search assistance and local arrival support (subject to the final written offer).
