Part-time Arabic Linguist

We are looking for an experienced Arabic Linguist to support the training and refinement of our Arabic-speaking AI Agents. This is a part-time, contract-based collaboration opportunity for linguists or lecturers specializing in Arabic language and linguistics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), familiarity with regional dialects, and the ability to guide our AI models toward more accurate, natural, and contextually correct speech.

Duties and responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated Arabic text and speech outputs for grammatical correctness, clarity, and naturalness.
• Provide structured linguistic feedback to improve language models, covering morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics.
• Advise on the differences between regional dialects.
• Collaborate with the technical team to design test sets, review training data, and refine evaluation criteria.
• Support continuous improvement of conversational AI quality through regular consultation sessions.

Required skills and experience

• Native Arabic speaker with an academic background in Arabic Linguistics, Arabic Language Studies, or related fields.
• A university lecturer or an advanced degree (Master’s/PhD) in linguistics or Arabic studies is a strong plus.
• Proven expertise in grammar, phonetics, morphology, and semantics of Arabic.
• Strong written and spoken English proficiency to communicate effectively with the team.
• Available for part-time collaboration (flexible 10–20 hours per week).
