Senior/Lead React Engineer

They are a pivotal partner in developing and creating life-changing drugs and personalized medical treatments for patients.

Who are we looking for

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior/Lead React Engineer who can both deliver hands-on solutions and provide technical leadership to the development team. The ideal candidate will excel at collaborating with clients, mentoring engineers, and driving best practices. Preferable location – Western Europe.

Duties and responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex web applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements, technical standards, and project timelines.
• Act as the client’s primary technical point of contact, facilitating effective communication and managing expectations.
• Take ownership of architectural decisions and guide the team in implementing scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Oversee code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote the adoption of modern development practices.
• Proactively identify technical risks, propose mitigation strategies, and drive resolution of critical issues.
• Plan, design, develop, debug, and maintain new features and core platform enhancements.
• Document technical decisions, architecture, and key deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, product managers, and designers.

Required skills and experience

• 5+ years of professional experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React (including complex component architecture and state management).
• Demonstrated leadership experience: leading projects/dev teams or acting as a technical owner.
• Strong understanding of OOP and common design patterns – a must;
• Hands-on experience with Redux and redux-saga;
• Experience working with REST APIs and WebSockets;
• Skilled in UI testing tools such as React Testing Library (RTL), Enzyme, etc., and practicing TDD;
• Proficiency with Tailwind CSS for styling;
• Experience with Vite is a plus;
• Exposure to Preact is nice to have;
• Basic understanding of Node.js (full-stack exposure is a plus).
• Capable of self-management using Jira, scope discovery, prototyping, and presenting solutions;
• Previous experience working on Healthcare/HealthTech projects will be a BIG plus;
