CHALLENGE
The SPsoft team embarked upon designing and implementing a brand new tailor-made ERP system meant to replace the old custom ERP solution the client was running on, suffering from multiple architectural and stability issues. Thereafter, we faced a multi-layer challenge consisting of:
- Migrate 10 years worth of business data from the old database into the new one;
- Perform data cleanup, transformation, and normalization;
- Implement inventory management and material planning functionality from scratch;
- Design and implement production and supply chain management tools;
- Provide personnel management and accounting features;
- Streamline planning and reporting processes;
- Create and embed technical documentation;
- Roll the new system into production use with zero downtime in the client’s operation and business;
Value Delivered
SPsoft has designed and implemented a brand new ERP system, covering all the client’s needs, and migrated 10 years worth of business data from the legacy system into the new platform. We provided a refined, deduplicated, optimized and normalized data structure, which improved the product’s performance, provided new capabilities, and extended the old system’s features.
We have avoided operational disruption during the transition from the old system into the new one, meaning the client has experienced no operational downtime while the requested ERP system has been introduced into practice. The new ERP platform provides improved inventory management and material planning toolkit, document workflow, accounting, analytics and reporting features across the whole production, supply, and sales chain.
